The Senior Manager will execute on the company's critical and visible new developer events that will drive platform awareness and adoption into our community and the marketplace. This position is critical to delivering a strong program that educates our customers, prospects and partners on Force.com and fuels the growth of the platform business.

This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven history of success in executing event marketing programs. This position is hands-on in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of programs including planning, budgeting, execution, vendor management, analysis and reporting. A strong background in developing all aspects of event marketing including integrated marketing techniques, identification of target audience, creative development, messaging, and content is required.

Execute a high volume of field-based, ongoing, developer events, including budget management, program development, driving audience attendance goals, and staff and event production responsibilities.
Define event/program metrics and measure and evaluate to determine effectiveness
Work closely with sales, developer and product teams to garner feedback and evolve marketing programs to ensure internal alignment
Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment.
Utilize salesforce.com’s own application to set up, measure, track and manage event campaigns, registrants, attendees and pipeline impact
Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and internal creative services team which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
Provide onsite event support and other duties assigned by director of group as necessary

Minimum 5 - 8 year track record of successfully managing marketing programs and events in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment, preferably CRM
Ability to create and implement event marketing with a proven track record of successful corporate events.
Strong understanding of all marketing disciplines including creative development, messaging and targeting and what drives a successful event.
Exceptional program, project and time management skills – highly organized, detail focused with the ability to set and meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with and influence peers, corporate and vendors that are not under direct control
Ability to coordinate efforts across departments and achieve end results
Quickly recognize, adapt and respond to changing market and company environments.
Work effectively and collaboratively within a team
Strong budget management skills
Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required
